I was starting an IV and had the tip of the glove off 1 finger because the vein was difficult to feel. Then when drawing blood the IV bled more than expected. I got a small amount of blood on my arms (intact skin) and a small amount on the exposed finger with a healing hangnail. what are the chances of contracting Hepatitis C from that exposure. as soon as I realized it was on my skin, I cleaned up the IV once secured and washed my arms/hands very thoroughly.
