Liver Damage Signs

Groshan Fabiola asked:

Hepatitis C is one of the most common types of hepatitis. It is also the most serious of all hepatitis types. This type of hepatitis alone can lead to cancer and even liver failure. The worst part of hepatitis C is that is shows no symptoms in almost all patients.

There are cases of hepatitis C where symptoms are present. However, these hepatitis cases are very rare and the signs of hepatitis C are mild and nonspecific. Some of the signs of hepatitis C that one might have are: nausea, fatigue, loss of their appetite and pain in the abdomen. As you see, these symptoms are very common and may very well be mistaken for signs of another medical problem, besides hepatitis C. Furthermore, when a hepatitis patient goes for a check- up at the doctor, in most of the cases the pysichal examination will not show any abnormalities that could indicate hepatitis. You might have a slight enlargement of your liver and feel pain in that area of the body, but these are not clear signs of hepatitis C. Because of this, many people will then suffer from chronic hepatitis. This form of hepatitis C, if not found, can also have serious complications. One common complication in people that have hepatitis C is cryoglobulinemia. Other complication of hepatitis C patients may be glomerulonephritis, but this is a less common hepatitis C complication.

The first test that one person who is a hepatitis C suspect should take is the anti- hepatitis C virus test. This hepatitis test can be detected by immunoassay enzymes. This was the initial generation of the anti- hepatitis C virus test, Today they have developed a third such hepatitis test, which is a lot more sensitive. However, there is the need of additional tests, after this anti- hepatitis C virus test, for confirmation. The next step and the best so far in actually diagnosing hepatitis C is the hepatitis C virus RNA. This test to detect hepatitis uses either a chain reaction with the help of polymerase or transcription- mediated amplification. What this hepatitis test actually does is detect the hepatitis C virus and also indicates if there is an active infection in your body, related to hepatitis. This test to detect hepatitis is also very helpful because there are many people whose initial test, anti- hepatitis C virus test does not give proper results. Usually these hepatitis patients have an immune system which is compromised.

Silver Nano-particles Can Rein in Replication of Hepatitis B Virus

hepatitis September 28th, 2009

hepatitis
Mercier asked:

Silver nano-particles with an average diameter of 5 to 50 nanometers can rein in the in vitro replication of hepatitis B viruses (HBV) through direct interaction with its DNA and viral particles, researchers said Monday.

Lei Lu, a Ph.D. candidate at the Hong Kong University, said his team found that the ultra-tiny silver particles could reduce the extra cellular DNA formation of HBVs by over 50 percent, and could check their intracellular RNA formation, too.

“Silver nano-particles have special properties such as larger active surface and porosity so that they can easily bind with small molecules,” Lu said, referring to a hypothetical explanation they had put forward on the new antiviral mechanism.

“The finding provides a new direction for developing new anti- HBV drugs, with nano-particles used as drug carrier to enhance the antiviral efficacy while minimizing the undesirable side effects,” Lu told a press conference Monday.

The young researcher said there are currently only two kinds of drugs approved for treating chronic HBV infection, namely immunomodulators and nucleoside analogues. But their uses are affected by side effects and drug-resistant mutations.

Hepatitis B is one of the worst killers as it chronically infects over 400 million people worldwide, with certain developing countries and regions hit hardest.

Lu said silver nano-particles have an additional distinct advantage. It is unlikely that HBV can become resistant to silver nano-particles because the interaction is determined by the physiochemical properties of the tiny particles.

The study on silver nano-particles is still in the laboratory stage and any drugs it may lead to are still 3 to 5 years away from clinic use, Lu said.

The study, conducted jointly by researchers at the Department of Medicine and the Department of Chemistry of the Hong Kong University, has been published in the March issue of Antiviral Therapy, the world’s leading antiviral research journal.

Hepatitis C Symptoms Often Unphased By Antibiotics

hepatitis September 10th, 2009

hepatitis
Wyatt McKinney asked:

Hepatitis C is a viral disease that attacks the liver and is caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV). Among the six known hepatitis viruses, the hepatitis C virus is considered the most damaging infecting millions worldwide. The infection is blood-borne and can cause liver inflammation.

While damage to the liver can be slow, the disease can lead to liver cancer, liver failure, and liver scarring. The hepatitis C virus is acquired through contaminated blood that enters the blood stream, most commonly through infected needles and blood transfusions.

The majority of people with hepatitis C show no symptoms for months after being infected. Those who do have symptoms may experience fatigue, lack of appetite, and joint pain. Since these symptoms may also be a sign for numerous other conditions, their presence rarely leads to a diagnosis of hepatitis C.

Even in the chronic stage of hepatitis C, meaning when one has the disease for over six moths, symptoms are rare. Those who do experience symptoms may experience jaundice, extreme fatigue, and vomiting. The disease is particularly insidious in the fact that it can do serious damage to your liver while you still appear healthy.

If you are diagnosed with hepatitis C, it is possible that your doctor will do nothing to treat you. Since the treatment of hepatitis C involves very unpleasant side effects and can be very costly, many doctors choose not to proceed with treatment if they suspect there is little chance of the disease developing into serious liver complications.

But since there is no way to accurately predict whether or a hepatitis C infection will become serious, many patients choose to begin treatment immediately.

Commonly, hepatitis C treatment begins with a combination of weekly injections of interferon and taking a powerful antiviral drug twice daily. Doctors also usually recommend vaccinations against the hepatitis A and B viruses, as acquiring these diseases may lead to serious complications during your hepatitis C treatment. Side effects of interferon include irritability, depression, memory problems and insomnia.

The side effects of ribravirin, the antiviral drug that is typically prescribed, include nasal congestion, low red blood cell count, and fatigue. The combination of these two drugs has been known, albeit rarely, to induce suicidal behavior in patients who have a history of depression.

Treatment usually lasts about a year, and has about a 50% success rate if the patient has the most common genotype. Less common genotypes have a higher success rate. If treatment fails, the virus may damage the liver so badly that it requires a liver transplant. This can be difficult, as the list of people who require a liver transplant far exceed the number of healthy livers available to hospitals.

Some patients who have suffered with hepatitis C have claimed to find success in fighting the virus with colloidal silver. Many believe that true colloidal silver is an effective treatment for hepatitis C because it destroys an enzyme that is essential for the virus’ survival.

Testimonial of reducing the hepatitis C viral load dramatically in a short period of time have been credited to the consumption of true colloidal silver.

Can You Cure Cancer, Hepatitis C, Allergies With 1 Supplement?

hepatitis September 7th, 2009

hepatitis
Robert Rowen, Md asked:

Can You Cure Cancer, Hepatitis C, and Allergies With One Supplement?

Several years ago, I told you about a miraculous extract from a carnivorous plant, the Venus Fly Trap. In the 1970s, German physician Helmut Keller was looking for alternative ways to treat cancer. He wanted to avoid the toxic chemicals produced by the drug companies.

He marveled at the Venus flytrap’s ability to digest protein (insects) without harming itself and without a digestive system. How can a plant completely digest an insect without a digestive system?

Dr. Keller found that the compounds in Venus flytrap work on primitive and unshielded protein, such as those found in insects and microorganisms. Well, cancer is also a primitive cell with lots of irregular protein.

And cancer cells actually leak protein. Could Venus flytrap digest malignant cells the way it does animal protein? And could it do so without damaging normal cells? The answer is a resounding YES! Today, Venus flytrap is marketed as the herb Carnivora.

Dr. Morton Walker, a medical journalist, has detailed amazing cures of life-threatening diseases with Carnivora from firsthand interviews and travels to Dr. Keller’s clinic. Dr. Walker estimated at least a 45% significant response rate to cancer with Carnivora alone.

Dr. Keller said the results are much higher with integrated approaches. Dr. Keller also claims that President Ronald Reagan used an extract from the Venus Fly Trap to successfully keep malignant polyps from returning.

In my first article on Carnivora, I wrote: “Dr. Keller believes the key compounds are droserone (D), plumbagin (P), and hydroplumbagin, also found in other carnivorous plants.

These remarkable and hard-to-make compounds are powerful oxidation catalysts, not dissimilar to the famous Koch catalysts. “In the 1930s, Dr. William F. Koch was using catalysts to speed oxidation in cells.

He cured many dreaded diseases. His successes created political problems forcing him to emigrate to Brazil to continue his work. “D and P modulate the immune system.

That is, they lift a weakened immune system, or stimulate a proper balance of activation and suppression. Too little of the former can lead to cancer and infection.

Too little of the latter can lead to ‘autoimmune’ disease. D and P also increase natural killer counts and function, essential in the defense against chronic disease. These oxidation catalysts are quite possibly able to induce many of the effects of intravenous and more expensive oxidation therapies in your body.”

Since my original report, I’ve had the opportunity to follow the use of this incredible extract with many people. And the results have been fabulous. In this issue, I’d like to show you how I’ve seen it used with success in Lyme disease, cancer, and other conditions.

When Second Opinion reader Richard Lawrence, 88, of Maryland went to see his doctor, he was in rough shape. He was sick with “terrible malaise” and had lymphatic swelling under his arms. His doctor diagnosed Lyme disease.

After starting Carnivora liquid extract and capsules, it took only about six weeks for the masses under his arms to disappear. Then he stopped the program. Richard also has had prostate cancer since 1987, and had radiation in 1988. His PSA in July 2008 was at 9.4, which is elevated.

Richard started taking the Carnivora again. In just six weeks, his PSA dropped to 1.4. Then, in January 2009, his PSA was 1.2. And Richard’s prostate cancer case isn’t unique. Dr. James Privitera, one of the most respected doctors in alternative medicine, confirmed two apparent remissions of prostate cancer to me in his patients. Richard’s case is exciting.

But it doesn’t stop there. Leo Pauliuk, at 68, found out he had hepatitis C. His liver enzyme, AST, was 100. That’s a sure sign of liver damage. It should be less than 30. He tried ultraviolet blood irradiation, but it didn’t help much.

Supplements did help a little. Then when he added Carnivora liquid extract and capsules to his regimen, his AST promptly dropped to 26. His ferritin level, which can be a particularly nasty indicator of inflammation, fell from 500 to 150.

His doctor, from whom he refused the biopsy and interferon treatment, was incredulous and asked what he was doing. The doctor asked for him to stay in touch so that he could continue to monitor his progress.

Incidentally, medical imaging also showed that a kidney cyst had significantly reduced in size. Leo says that he can now enjoy a glass of scotch, a virtual impossibility for any hepatitis patient, and has even had as much as half a bottle with no ill effect.

While I would never recommend that for anyone, it does show how much the health of his liver has improved using this extract. He continues to maintain a daily dose of two Carnivora capsules. Hepatitis C is very difficult to treat.

We rarely see this kind of remission, especially for this long. Carnivora could change the face of hepatitis C treatment. Joanne Fiola, 58 years old of Rhode Island had a very stubborn bronchial infection that was completely unresponsive to conventional therapies.

She also had a blockage in a carotid artery that was causing pain in her left temple. She started taking Carnivora and noticed improvement immediately. The pain cleared, and within three weeks, so did the infection. Doppler ultrasound confirmed that it had cleared the obstruction.

These are all major illnesses, but what about every day illnesses, such as allergies? You’ll be amazed. Andrew Funk of Tennessee is 27. He had suffered from seasonal allergies for much of his life.

Itchy eyes, respiratory mucous, and in the past few years, sinus aching. The latter came on strong last February. He told me that he is exposed to mold in his home’s venting. Mold allergy is a growing problem around the country. Andrew started Carnivora capsules on March 19, beginning with three capsules daily. He worked up to 12 daily.

His allergy symptoms got much better after the first week. All of his symptoms went away. But when he ran out of the supplement, the symptoms came back. However, they were mild compared to what they had been prior to taking the Carnivora.

After restarting the supplement, the symptoms cleared and have remained so since I last spoke to him in May. This is the first time in years he has felt so good during the spring season. He also recommends Antronex (Standard Process Company) as well, especially for coughing and sneezing.

Carnivora has unique compounds that act as a modulator to your immune system. It has potent pro-oxidant phytochemicals. These are not free radicals. They are compounds that can have similar effects in your body to what oxidation therapy does.

There are many more case reports on Carnivora taking care of Lyme disease, chronic fatigue, and breast cancer. It has even helped a bad case of ulcerative colitis. But I want to end with two incredible cases. One woman, I’ll call her Anne, had terminal ovarian cancer.

Her CA-125, one of the primary tumor markers for this cancer, was 79 on January 17th, 2005. It rose fast and hit 1,577 on March 28th, eleven days after starting Carnivora.

Nearly a month later, the tumor marker was near its peak at 2,586. You’d think that the program was not working. But sometimes looks can be deceiving. A spike in tumor markers can indicate tumor die off.

That’s exactly what happened. On May 25th, the CA-125 level had taken a nosedive. It was down to 820. By July 1st, it was down to the normal range at 28. On July 28th, it was 16. Unfortunately, Anne didn’t follow protocol.

Once in the normal range, you should continue on a full Carnivora program afterward. Anne didn’t do this. She stopped using it and the cancer, only then, returned. A full maintenance program (beginning at 15 capsules per day) should continue for at least two to three months (maybe four); then permanent maintenance of three to six capsules per day.

Jane (not her real name), 66 years old of Toronto, noticed a sore, painful lump in her breast in May 2003. A biopsy confirmed it was cancer. She had a 1.6 cm tumor surgically removed. She went to Germany to have a biological treatment.

But it was unsuccessful. When she returned to the States, the pain and soreness returned to her breast. The lump had grown. She lost weight. Three different doctors recommended immediate hospitalization.

She refused. Instead she started using Carnivora, taking two capsules three times a day. Two days and six dosages later (and one infusion of 25 grams of vitamin C), she returned to her doctor who confirmed that the pea-sized tumor had disappeared! Just to be safe, he did an ultrasound.

It showed no tumor, no mass, nor any abnormality. Two other doctors confirmed his findings. “One week later,” she told me, “I began taking 50 drops of Carnivora pure liquid extract three times a day for one month, intermittently alternating with my six capsules-a-day regimen.”

tumor did not return as long as she took the Carnivora. She says, “It’s a miracle; I owe my life to Carnivora!” Unfortunately, she stopped Carnivora about a year ago, and tells me that a new growth has developed.

She wishes now that she had not stopped it. You can read all the details about Carnivora on my website. Simply login and type Carnivora in the search box. This is truly a miraculous phytonutrient that has the power to bring life back to a stalled immune system. It’s not a specific treatment for any one disease.

It is not “the cure” for cancer. However, getting your immune system online is the best specific treatment for most any ailment you might have! And that includes cancer. Years ago, European research found that Carnivora in capsules modulate the immune system.

That means it will stimulate your white blood cells to do what they are supposed to do. The liquid extract may do more. Research suggests that it can strip off proteins from abnormal or infected cells (not normal cells), which stimulates them to commit cell suicide (apoptosis).

I often tell my patients to forget the name of their disease. Names are just labels. The real problem is a failed immune system or diseased cells that have failed to die. Carnivora dosing is variable for different conditions.

I suggest that you seek the advice of an integrative physician familiar with the product and follow his/her advice. For general immune support, I’ve been pleased with the performance of three capsules, three times daily.
