Hepatitis
treespoet asked:

I want to make soft shell turtle stew. Someone told me that people can get hepatitis from eating turtle. I have searched the internet and found no information to support that claim. My grandfather ate it and served it to me and I have never contracted such an illness.

Theoretically, you could contract a disease from infected flesh, so if you do want to eat turtle, you need to make sure you get it from a reliable source.
