My husband is positive “Hepatitis B core antibody” and all the other hepatitis B tests are negative, two months ago also he was having the same result.
Six months ago he was all negative.
I also tested my self it came all negative.
He is not having any health complications and he didn’t have any troubles for the last three years.
Doctor told him you don’t have to take any treatment; have sex with your wife without protection!!!!
My questions are:
1- Is the viruses still a live in his liver?
2-what is the chance to transfer the virus to me.
3- What is the likelihood for the virus to start active again?
4- Do you suggest any medicine for him at this stage?
5- Is the “Hepatitis B core antibody” test required for immigration or they are asking for the “Hepatitis surface antigen” test only

My friend had Hepatitis B long ago and is in great health now. He was told he could never contract Hepatitis B again in his life. He was also told he can not donate blood or organs because it would put the recipient at risk for contracting it. But I don’t understand why. If he is cured, then how could he pass it on? And if he can pass it on, than he really is not cured? I am younger than he is and I have been immunized against Hepatitis B, but I can donate blood and organs. We both have antibodies to Hepatitis B but only I can donate. Why? I am very confused.
